VQkit releases are distributed in multiple package formats for installation, source access, and development.

For most users, the Python wheel is the recommended package. Source packages are provided for users who want to inspect, modify, or develop VQkit.

Current release

This is the recommended package for normal installation with pip.

python -m pip install vqkit-1.1-py3-none-any.whl

This package contains the Python source distribution and can be installed from source using pip.

python -m pip install vqkit-1.1.tar.gz

This archive is intended for users who want to inspect, modify, or develop the VQkit source code directly.

After extracting the archive, installation can be performed from the directory containing pyproject.toml:

python -m pip install .

For development:

python -m pip install -e .

The complete package includes the installable wheel together with developer source files and related release materials.

Choose the package according to your intended use:

Official VQkit packages are available through the VQkit website.

Versioned release assets may also be provided through the project’s GitHub Releases page.

After installing VQkit, verify the installed version with:

vqkit version

For VQkit 1.1, the expected output is:
